The Hagerman Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 36 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Hansen 64-23 on the road. With Hagerman ahead 39-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Hagerman's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ky Kendall, who almost dropped a triple-double on 20 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. That's the first time this season that Kendall pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Johnson, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Hagerman and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Hansen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Hagerman will be home for the holidays to greet Rockland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hansen, they will head out on the road to face off against Watersprings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Watersprings presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hansen in Idaho (Watersprings is ranked fifth, while Hansen is ranked 120th).
