After four games on the road, Tenor is heading back home. They will take on the Cristo Rey Trailblazers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Tenor scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Varsity Opponent, posting a 89-50 victory on the road. Tenor has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Tenor can attribute much of their success to Quintyn Robinson, who scored 34 points along with six steals and five rebounds, and Kyrell Davis, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Shane Emanuel, who scored 13 points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Cristo Rey came into Tuesday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past University Lake/Trinity Academy with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-39.
Tenor's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Cristo Rey, their win bumped their record up to 2-10.
Tenor didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Cristo Rey in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 68-64 win. Does Tenor have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cristo Rey turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
