The Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders came into Thursday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Roane County by a score of 44-36 on Thursday. For Parkersburg Catholic, this counts as revenge for the 52-50 loss Roane County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Despite the loss, Roane County still got an impressive performance from Piper Harlan, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylin Bowe, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Parkersburg Catholic's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Roane County, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkersburg Catholic will take on Nitro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roane County, they will be playing at home against Sissonville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Sissonville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 last Wednesday.
