Ardrey Kell is 2-8 against Providence since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Knights will take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Ardrey Kell will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Friday, then bounced right back against East Mecklenburg on Tuesday. The Knights blew past the Eagles 10-3. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Jenna Volturno spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ardrey Kell got a big performance out of Jia Soe, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. Reagan Martin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Providence got themselves on the board against Ballantyne Ridge on Tuesday, but Ballantyne Ridge never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Wolves.
Casey Tomljonavic was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Emelia Zeng, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Providence hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in eight consecutive games.
Providence's win bumped their record up to 23-1. As for Ardrey Kell, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Ardrey Kell has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. However, it's not like Providence struggles in that department as they've averaged .505. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Ardrey Kell might still be hurting after the 18-2 loss they got from Providence in their previous matchup on Friday. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
