Franklin Monroe is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 26-13 to Twin Valley South on Tuesday. Even if the Jets couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Katelyn Yoder and Brooke Baker did some serious damage despite the final result: Yoder got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double, while Baker went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those RBI were Yoder's first of the season. Lola Sando was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Mississinawa Valley had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Oakwood last Tuesday as they made off with a 10-2 win.
Ella Godfrey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 16 Ks. Those 16 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Makenna Hoggatt was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Gentry Newbauer, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Franklin Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Mississinawa Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
