Greece Olympia has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the World of Inquiry Griffins at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Greece Olympia has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
Greece Olympia scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 win over Wellsville. That three points margin sets a new team best for Greece Olympia this season.
Meanwhile, World of Inquiry lost to Finney at home by a decisive 66-50 margin on Thursday.
Despite their loss, World of Inquiry saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jaedon Adams, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. That was a full 44% of World of Inquiry's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yacoub Tarawally, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Greece Olympia's win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-6. As for World of Inquiry, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Greece Olympia beat World of Inquiry 64-53 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greece Olympia since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
