They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 61-0 victory over the Falcons. The result was nothing new for Thomas Jefferson, who have now won six contests by 27 points or more so far this season.
Thomas Jefferson had a senior duo take command as Sean Sullivan picked up 82 receiving yards and three touchdowns and Brody Evans threw for 154 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes. Jason Salman made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Thomas Jefferson's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.0 points per game. As for Connellsville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Thomas Jefferson will be playing in front of their home fans against McKeesport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McKeesport knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Thomas Jefferson likes a good challenge. As for Connellsville, they will head out on the road to face off against Laurel Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
