With a playoff win on the line, Tallassee rose to the challenge on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the W.S. Neal Eagles 7-5. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on five straight.

The team relied heavily on Thomas Lemmond, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Brue Milner, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Tallassee hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.

Tallassee's win bumped their record up to 22-10-2. As for W.S. Neal, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-7 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tallassee beat the Eagles by a score of 11-1 later that day.
