Mt. Hebron and Centennial are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Vikings will host the Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Centennial will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Mt. Hebron extended their winning streak to 12 on Monday. The Vikings' pitcher stepped up to hand Reservoir a 13-0 shutout. 13 seems to be a good number for the Vikings as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Abby Magdar made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mt. Hebron let Claire Brooks and Bella Widstrom run wild. Brooks got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI, while Widstrom went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Danielle Green was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Mt. Hebron kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Centennial hadn't done well against River Hill recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 20-5 margin over the Hawks. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Layla Schroyer and Katelyn Parbuoni did most of the damage at the plate: Schroyer got on base in all four of her plate appearances with six RBI, two triples, and two stolen bases, while Parbuoni went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those triples marked the first that Schroyer has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Reese, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Centennial's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Mt. Hebron, their victory bumped their record up to 12-0.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mt. Hebron hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .455. However, it's not like Centennial struggles in that department as they've averaged .359. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Mt. Hebron's way against Centennial in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Mt. Hebron made off with a 14-3 win. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
