Christian Community is 8-2 against Heritage Christian since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Christian Community Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Heritage Christian Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Christian Community focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
Even though Christian Community has not done well against HEARTS for Jesus Christ recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Christian Community came out on top against HEARTS for Jesus Christ by a score of 46-37. The victory was just what Christian Community needed coming off of a 100-67 defeat in their prior game.
It was another big night for Seth Roberts, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Gabe McQueen was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Heritage Christian came up short against Westside Christian Academy on Friday and fell 54-42.
Christian Community's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. As for Heritage Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Everything came up roses for Christian Community against Heritage Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 52-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christian Community since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
