The Springfield Millers will be playing at home against the Lebanon Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Springfield is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Springfield stacked a fifth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over Eagle Point.
Connor Dye continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 350 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. Dye's longest rush was for an incredible 96 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Zackary Sherman, who rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns.
Springfield's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Eagle Point's QB won't forget Caeleb Kasperek anytime soon given Kasperek sacked him six times.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Lebanon's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 35-21 to Silverton.
Springfield's victory bumped their season record to 8-1 while Lebanon's loss dropped theirs to 5-4.
Springfield took a serious blow against Lebanon when the teams last played back in September of 2017, falling 33-6. Can Springfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
