Pulaski County has gone 8-2 against Casey County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Maroons are taking a road trip to square off against the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. The game will give Pulaski County their first taste of in-conference action this season.
On Saturday, Pulaski County didn't have quite enough to beat Harrison County and fell 4-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Maroons in their meetings with the Thorobreds/Fillies: they've now lost four in a row.
Rilee Ross spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits.
On the hitting side, Avery Davis made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.
Casey County came out on top against Gallatin County on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Rebels blew past the Wildcats 11-1. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.
Harmony Meece/Richardson was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last seven contests.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aslan Wethington, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted over her last seven games. Mia Price also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Casey County pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Pulaski County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Pulaski County skirted past Casey County 5-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Do the Maroons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
