The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Trenton Central is ranked 231st, while Kennedy is ranked 244th).
Last Tuesday, Trenton Central was the victim of a tough 52-27 defeat at the hands of Passaic. The loss was Trenton Central's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Kennedy was able to grind out a solid victory over Nutley on Thursday, taking the game 34-26. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kennedy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kennedy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Perla Reyes, who scored 14 points. Zahniya Castillo was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Trenton Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Trenton Central strolled past Kennedy in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 59-45. Will Trenton Central repeat their success, or does Kennedy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
