When it comes to explaining why Coconut Creek lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jordan Weatherspoon. Despite the final result, he scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 blocks. Another player making a difference was McKevan Bell, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Coconut Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Everglades, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coconut Creek will take on Miramar at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Miramar focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 36 on Thursday. As for Everglades, they will head out on the road to face off against Monarch at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Monarch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 513th, while Everglades is ranked 167th).
