Harvest Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 17-16 heartbreaker at the hands of the Parsons Christian Academy Lions. Even though they lost, the Warriors' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.7 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Khason Krey was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, Jonathan Drost made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Ethan Wood, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.
