After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Green River, the Tintic Miners were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-33 win over Altamont. This was payback for Tintic, who suffered a 78-62 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Leading Tintic to victory were Stockton Hansen and Luke Larsen. Hansen scored 15 points, while Larsen scored 15 points. The match was Hansen's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Ward, who scored eight points along with six assists.
Tintic's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. As for Altamont, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Tintic won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wendover at 4:00 p.m. on December 16th. Wendover is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. Altamont will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Duchesne at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
