Firebaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost to the Compton Early College Rising Phoenix on the road by a 63-49 margin. On the bright side, the 49- point performance marked the Falcons' highest-scoring game to date.

Travion Brown was a one-man wrecking crew For Compton Early College. as he rushed for 148 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Those 148 rushing yards gave Brown a new career-high. Jesse Priceno got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Firebaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Compton Early College, their record is now 2-4.
