Basketball Recap: Centerville Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

If Groveton wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Centerville, they should've done a better job of containing Jeromy Rosales. The Centerville Tigers claimed a resounding 84-24 win over the Groveton Indians thanks in part to Rosales, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten steals. Those ten steals gave him a new career-high.

Despite the defeat, Groveton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ruger Mclain posted 14 points.

Centerville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Groveton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Centerville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-40 loss against Grapeland on the 3rd. As for Groveton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-34 defeat against Leon on the 3rd.
