There's no place like home for the Culbertson Cowboys, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 45-43 win from a begrudging Cowboyssquad. This was payback for they, who suffered a 65-55 loss the last time these two teams met.
Culbertson can attribute much of their success to Gavin Deen, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Deen pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bridger Salvevold, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Culbertson's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Froid/Medicine Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Culbertson will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Brockton at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Froid/Medicine Lake will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Culbertson at 7:30 p.m. on January 26, 2024.
