Foard is 5-0 against North Lincoln since January of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Foard Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the North Lincoln Knights at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Foard focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
Foard struggled with assists on Tuesday (East Lincoln had 15 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Foard was outmatched by East Lincoln at home and fell 69-39. Foard has struggled against East Lincoln recently, as their match on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Foard saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Davoney Dellinger, who scored 12 points along with three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Dellinger hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kinzer Abernathy, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, North Lincoln was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 57-52 to St. Stephens. North Lincoln has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Foard's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for North Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
Foard strolled past North Lincoln in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 55-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foard since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
