Mountain View had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They claimed a resounding 40-7 victory over the Bend Lava Bears. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mountain View's record is now 8-1. As for Bend, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-5.
