The Metuchen Bulldogs were the 54-27 winner over the Piscataway Vo-Tech Raiders when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Metuchen might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 44-42 to Piscataway Vo-Tech, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Metuchen has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jason Woods, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Smith, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Metuchen has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season. As for Piscataway Vo-Tech, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-12.
Metuchen will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against J.P. Stevens at 5:30 p.m. on February 8th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Jersey (Metuchen is ranked 316th, while J.P. Stevens is ranked 299th). As for Piscataway Vo-Tech, they will take on Piscataway at TBD on Tuesday.
