Volleyball Recap: Maclay Has No Trouble Against FAMU DRS

While Maclay didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Marauders in their matchups with the Baby Rattlers: they've now won three in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Maclay took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-8, 25-11.

Kate Hartmann paced Maclay's offense, picking up ten kills. Hartmann got some help from Finley Cutcliffe and her 23 assists. Bella Krizner controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Maclay's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for FAMU DRS, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Maclay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Florida State University High School on the 10th. As for FAMU DRS, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Port St. Joe on the 10th.
