Meanwhile, Tri-County North got the win against Preble Shawnee on Tuesday by a conclusive 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Koby Reynolds made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ben Knife, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Peyton Fannin was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Tri-County North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Tri-County North's record is now 8-2. As for Franklin Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Franklin Monroe has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tri-County North struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Franklin Monroe skirted past Tri-County North 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
