The Argyle Scots's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Salem Generals at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. Argyle comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Wednesday, Argyle had to suffer through a rough 62-24 loss at the hands of Hartford Central. Argyle was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-10.
Meanwhile, Salem came up short against Granville last Friday and fell 43-33.
Argyle bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.3 points per game. As for Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Argyle lost to Salem on the road by a decisive 41-25 margin when the teams last played last Wednesday. Can Argyle avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
