It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Melrose had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Pine Hill Warriors as they made off with a 53-31 win. The Buffaloes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Pine Hill had strong showings from Nevaeh Natan, who shot 43% from the field to rack up 17 points, and Kirra Smith, who posted eight points. Natan has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

The victory (which was Melrose's eighth in a row) raised their record to 25-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points over those games. As for Pine Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-11.

Coming up, Melrose will challenge Cliff at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Pine Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
