Wyatt Bauer turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two earned runs surrendered on Friday. He tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He has become a key player for Sierra: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-4 otherwise.

Bauer's effort led Sierra over Manteca and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Sierra will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 327 places lower in California), but they're not letting that get them down.
