Mayville came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Vassar Vulcans as they made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Wildcats have won nine contests by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mayville let Sierra Harrington and Emmalee Brooks run wild. Harrington went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Brooks went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Payton Mitchell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Mayville's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Vassar, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Coming up, Mayville will venture away from home to take on Kingston at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
