The PikeView Panthers will challenge the Sissonville Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. PikeView is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Sissonville is facing PikeView at the wrong time: PikeView suffered their first home loss of the season on Wednesday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 5-3. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Landon Bolen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, PikeView saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Naylor, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Sissonville suffered their biggest loss since March 25th on Wednesday. They lost 12-5 to Ripley. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost three in a row.

Nathaniel Simonton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Layne Coffman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

PikeView's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Sissonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. PikeView has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Sissonville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
