Cotopaxi led A-6 Southwest (6 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 66 points on Kit Carson. Alan Martin threw for 366 yards and eight touchdowns, ran for 29 yards and caught one passes for 44 yards in the win.
The Pirates' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Josh Miller chipped in 64 yards. Denver Acres helped Cotopaxi's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 95 yards.
Ryan Garrett was the best wideout in the league this week as Cotopaxi beat the Wildcats. Garrett tallied six receptions for 136 yards.
Primero's James Lujan and Josh Huey have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lujan has thrown for 1349 yards this season, while Huey, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 33 catches for 518 yards. Henry Mayfield from Hanover leads the league in rushing with 1135 yards.
The longest pass in the league this week came courtesy of Craig Mitchell's team's Martin. The Pirates topped Kit Carson when he connected with Garrett on a 55-yard pass.
