After three games on the road, Deary is heading back home. They will take on the Kendrick Tigers at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Deary beat Timberline 44-40.
Meanwhile, Kendrick put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Highland for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-21 victory at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-15.
Kendrick found their leader in underclassman Nathan Tweit, who scored 21 points along with 5 steals. The matchup was Tweit's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ty Koepp, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
Deary now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Kendrick, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
Deary came up short against Kendrick in their previous matchup back in January, falling 55-50. Can Deary avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
