The Pittsfield Generals will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Wahconah Regional Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Pittsfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Wahconah Regional likes a good challenge.
Last Wednesday, Pittsfield made easy work of Minnechaug Regional and carried off a 78-53 win. Pittsfield pushed the score to 61-37 by the end of the third, a deficit Minnechaug Regional had little chance of recovering from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pittsfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marcello Arienti, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Arienti has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Da'Sean Brown, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Wahconah Regional beat Taconic 47-41 on Tuesday.
Pittsfield has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Wahconah Regional, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Pittsfield strolled past Wahconah Regional in their previous meeting last Friday by a score of 72-54. Will Pittsfield repeat their success, or does Wahconah Regional have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
