4A Narrows recap Oct. 3, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to South Kitsap, who took down 29th ranked South Kitsap, 15-14.
Central Kitsap was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in 4A Narrows. The Cougars defeated Yelm 35-17 earlier in the week.
The Tornadoes' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kyle Brownell threw for 30 yards and Kollin Crown had 42 yards receiving. On the ground Jacob Swilley chipped in 137 yards.
Bellarmine Prep's Sefo Liufau and Garrett McKay have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Liufau has thrown for 1011 yards this season, while McKay, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 32 catches for 398 yards. Yelm's Swilley leads the league in rushing yards with 838.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Olympia takes on Central Kitsap. The Bears are currently in fifth, while Mark Keel's team is in first.
