The biggest upset of the week belonged to Western Beaver, who took down 264th ranked Union Area, 20-0.
Adding to the longest winning streak in WPIAL A Big Seven this week, Sto-Rox beat Our Lady of the Sacred Heart 54-0,. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Vikings.
Jake Berger and Nathan Block gave South Side a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Berger threw for 32 yards, while Block ran for 146 yards. Teammate Mason Wilcoxen added to the ground attack by rushing for 65 yards.
Berger and Block gave the Rams a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week.
Block provided a threat through the air and on the ground as South Side fell to Rochester.
Ernie Burkes was the best receiver in the league this week as Neshannock beat Shenango. Jimmy Medure helped Neshannock's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 17 yards.
Berger put up the best numbers in passing as Glenn McDougal's team lost to the Rams.
Block was the best running back in the league this week.
Laurel's 6-foot-4 quarterback Josh Dando is the league leader in passing yards this season with 244. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ricky Fayad. The South Side star has 4 catches for 117 yards.
The Scotties are in fifth place, while the Spartan are in third place.
The Golden Beavers moved up to 259 from 316 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in WPIAL A Big Seven. Western Beaver was able to move up by beating Union Area 20-0.
