This season hasn't been kind to the Ore City Rebels, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They took a serious blow against Overton on Friday, falling 59-29. Ore City was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Overton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2017.
It was another big night for Kayla Nobles, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds for Overton. Nobles is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sarah Emery, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Ore City's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Overton, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Ore City will head out on the road to face off against Big Sandy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Overton will be home for the holidays to greet Maud at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
