Kendrick is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Clearwater Valley is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Tigers will host the Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Kendrick knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Clearwater Valley likes a good challenge.
On Thursday, Kendrick got the win against Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] by a conclusive 14-4. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Jerry Anderson and Nate Kimberling made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Anderson tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Kimberling struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. The dominant performance also gave Anderson a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At the plate, Anderson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, while Kimberling got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ralli Roetcisoender, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Kirkland, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Kendrick kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] only managed four.
Meanwhile, Clearwater Valley narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Troy 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted against the Trojans since April 25, 2024.
Lincoln Barger was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Harvey Wellard was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Kendrick's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Clearwater Valley, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Kendrick has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Clearwater Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Kendrick was able to grind out a solid victory over Clearwater Valley in their previous meeting back in March, winning 5-2. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
