Chance Jackson tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025.
At the plate, Levi Walker was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Plattsmouth: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Deacon Finn, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Plattsmouth was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Beatrice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 12-3 to Crete.
Beatrice saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colt Rinne, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That run was Rinne's first of the season.
Beatrice's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Plattsmouth, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Beatrice's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Plattsmouth hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312. It's a different story for Beatrice, though, as they've only averaged .209. Will they be able to contain Plattsmouth's hitters?
