Having just played yesterday, High School of the Future will get right back to it and host the Liguori Academy Falcons at 3:15 p.m. on February 2nd. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (High School of the Future has three straight wins, the Falcons have four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Strawberry Mansion scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, High School of the Future still came out on top. High School of the Future took down the Knights 73-58.
High School of the Future had a senior duo take command as A Jeune scored 36 points along with seven assists and three steals and G Banks dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Jeune has scored at least a third of High School of the Future's points. Another player making a difference was N Reddy, who scored five points.
Meanwhile, Liguori Academy took a serious blow against the Cavaliers last Thursday, falling 61-26. Liguori Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-12.
Despite their loss, Liguori Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Divine Scott-Allen, who scored ten points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scott-Allen has scored all season.
High School of the Future's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Liguori Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
