Pekin put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put a hurting on Belle Plaine to the tune of 62-22. Pekin were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
The win bumped Pekin's record up to 5-3. The loss dropped Belle Plaine back to even at 4-4.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Pekin take on Durant at 7:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. As for Belle Plaine, they will face off against Highland.
