Meridian had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Farwell Eagles on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Karter Schafer was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Drew Lafave was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meridian's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Farwell, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Meridian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
