Wayne waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins...and they left with five. They put the hurt on the Bryce Valley Mustangs with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Badgers have won nine games by more than nine runs this season, another big win was nothing new.

Wayne saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Beecher, who went 1-for-2 while logging 2 stolen bases, 1 RBI, and 1 run. The game also marked Beecher's 12th in a row where he got on base at least once.

Wayne took advantage of their speed and finished the game with three stolen bases. They have not posted that few stolen bases since the 21st, when they also snagged three stolen bases.

Wayne has now won seven of their last nine games at home. That somehow still isn't as good as their 11-2 record this season. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-4 Green River and 5-8 Bryce Valley (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 20.9% over those games). As for Bryce Valley, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayne will venture away from home to challenge Intermountain Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bryce Valley, they will head out to face off against Tabiona at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
