The Reno Huskies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Lowry at home to the tune of 75-34. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Reno has managed all season.
Reno's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Levi Boyd, who scored seven points along with six assists and six steals. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Aidan Casey, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Lowry still got an impressive performance from Kasyn Garner, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Lowry were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Reno only racked up 24 assists.
The victory was the third in a row for Reno, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Lowry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Reno will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Douglas is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.8 points per game. Lowry won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pershing County at 3:30 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Pershing County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 40 on Thursday.
