Despite the loss, Dublin Scioto had strong showings from Niah Smedley, who scored 23 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals, and Alec Rothe, who scored 8 points along with 16 rebounds and 4 blocks. The matchup was Smedley's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Evan Rinker was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Worthington Kilbourne, who are still winless after their fourth game. They had to suffer through a rough 68-34 loss at the hands of Canal Winchester. While losing is never fun, Worthington Kilbourne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 572nd, while Canal Winchester is ranked 98th).
Olentangy Berlin's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Dublin Scioto's loss dropped theirs to 1-3.
