After seven games on the road, Greybull is heading back home. They will take on the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Greybull is ranked 48th, while Rocky Mountain is ranked 54th).
After soaring to 57 points the game before, Greybull were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were beaten by Hot Springs County 62-20. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Greybull has scored all season.
Rocky Mountain can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They managed a 49-45 victory over Riverside. The win was just what Rocky Mountain needed coming off of a 65-42 defeat in their prior match.
Cole Minchow was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 22 points along with three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Rocky Mountain's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lafe Files, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Greybull's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Rocky Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.
Greybull and Rocky Mountain were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but Greybull came up empty-handed after a 46-45 defeat. Can Greybull avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
