The Sulphur Bluff Bears won the last time they faced the Yantis Owls, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Sulphur Bluff simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Yantis 50-17 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-8.
Emma Neal continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Zaylee Peyton, who scored 12 points.
Sulphur Bluff's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Yantis, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Sulphur Bluff will be playing at home against Avery at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Avery is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Yantis, they will head out on the road to face off against Saltillo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Saltillo presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Yantis in Texas (Saltillo is ranked 384th, while Yantis is ranked 1601st).
