Moses Lake is a perfect 10-0 against Wenatchee since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mavericks will head out to challenge the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Moses Lake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
Moses Lake is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 20 runs two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Jackson last Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to the Timberwolves. The Mavericks' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Paige Richardson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Hayden Morris made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Wenatchee had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Cadets.
Adamarie Iniguez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over eight innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off 16 hits. Iniguez was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Haylee Merz was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Makinley Cardona was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.
Wenatchee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
Wenatchee's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Moses Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Moses Lake hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Wenatchee struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Moses Lake came out on top in a nail-biter against Wenatchee when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 11-9. Do the Mavericks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
