The Rocky Mountain Lobos lost to the Erie Tigers back in January of 2023, but the Rocky Mountain Lobos didn't allow the Erie Tigers the same satisfaction on Thursday. Rocky Mountain came out on top against Erie by a score of 56-49.
Meela Delap continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sara Chicco, who scored 16 points.
Erie lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Maddie Hartel, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagyn Allen, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Rocky Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Erie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.
Rocky Mountain's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Poudre at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Erie, they will head out on the road to square off against Glenwood Springs at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Glenwood Springs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while Erie is ranked 29th).
