Petra Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Saturday. They were outmatched by Great Falls HomeSchool on the road and fell 60-28. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Petra Academy in their matchups with Great Falls HomeSchool: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Petra Academy still got an impressive performance from Maggie Hornung, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Anna Woodberry, who scored six points.
Petra Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Great Falls HomeSchool, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Petra Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Heritage Christian at 5:30 p.m. Heritage Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Great Falls HomeSchool will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Foothills Community Christian at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th.
