The Arizona College Prep Knights struggled with  assists on Thursday (the Eastmark Firebirds had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Arizona College Prep took a  47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eastmark. Arizona College Prep has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Despite the loss, Arizona College Prep still got an impressive performance from   Mikell Van arsdale, who  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and ten  rebounds. Van arsdale continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaylee Aulds, who  scored 11 points along with two  blocks.
 Eastmark can attribute much of their success to  Anna LaFountain, who  scored 21 points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals. Another player making a difference was  Riley Farnstrom, who  scored nine points along with two  steals.
 Arizona College Prep has  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost six of their last seven contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Eastmark, the  win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.
 Arizona College Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Combs at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Arizona (Combs is ranked 201st, while Arizona College Prep is ranked 185th). As for Eastmark, Eastmark and American Leadership Academy will face off  at 7:00  p.m.  on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
