This season hasn't been kind to the Central Bears, who are still winless after their 12th contest. They took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hudson. Central has not had much luck with Hudson recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Leilani White, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Delanee Duncan who scored eight points along with three steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season.
Hudson found their leader in underclassman Gabriella Reigada, who scored eight points along with six steals. That's the first time this season that Reigada grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Cloie Hagin, who scored ten points.
Central's loss was their 11th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-12. As for Hudson, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Leesburg at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. Leesburg is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.6 points per game. Hudson won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Nature Coast Tech at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Nature Coast Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Wednesday.
